I chose my own pet dishes, which were really just a pair of nice regular sized dinner bowls. Like the kind anyone has in their kitchen (5 inches at top, tapers down into bowl shape from there).
I love the stand - it fits the bowls nicely and the feet don't budge when my messy kitties try to tip over the water or knock the food around. It doesn't stop them from spitting food all over the floor tho - oh well.
The stand is nice and clean; it looks well made and doesn't bend or stand off balance like something cheap. I think the value is there for the cost.

This is what it is, a wrought iron stand to hold your very small pet's food and water bowls. It's about 3-1/2 in. high. Signature Housewares Color Me Happy Dog Bowl extra small one fits perfectly or you can use a bowl from your kitchen. Any size with a rounded bottom should work or a straight-sided 8-oz one. I personally like having the pet dishes separate from the people dishes.
I never thought much about raising the bowls, but the convenience is definitely there, including not having your pet push the bowls around on the floor or tip them over. The stand is sturdy, not at all wobbly and should give many years of service. Paint is not chipped, a well made product.
