I love these bowls. I bought 3 for my Boston Terrier. We have owned 1 (6 inch in pink and brown) for about 6 months (the other 2 were purchased recently), we bought it from the pet store, and it has held up exceptionally well so far. I wash it in the dishwasher and it still looks brand new. The bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are great quality, have good depth, and have a good weight to them. I have 2 in the 6 inch size (perfect for my 20 lb dog) and 1 in the 8 inch size (too large but I still like the bowl). The 8 inch bowl measures 8 inches from the rim but it's a little confusing because the rim turns outward. The inner bowl (eating surface) measures 7 inches across and 2.25-2.5 inches deep. The 6 inch bowl measures 6 inches from the outward turned rim. The eating area measurements are actually slightly over 4.5 inches across and slightly over 1.5 inches deep.

I really liked the feel and quality of this bowl. I wanted something substantial, that had some heft to it, to discourage my toddlers from picking it up and playing with it. It was supposed to replace the bowl they broke. I read the details for several bowls and was looking for something that held about 2 cups of food at a time since our scooper holds 2 cups and that's usually what we throw in the bowl. The bowl came and is just as picture and looks/feels great. However, it barely holds even a cup of food. There is NO WAY you can get 2 in there. It spills out and overflows even nearing just 1 cup. I'm disappointed and will likely have to go look for something else as every time I put food in it overflows. Too bad.

This is exactly what I was looking for to replace the one that I dropped onto a ceramic floor. It fits perfectly in the double bowl elevated stand and now I will purchase a second one to match the color of the replacement. The first two were white and black but I like the new colors better.
